Microscopic People Swimming in Backyard Pools
« Thread Started on Aug 17, 2005, 2:39pm »

Backyard Pools come in different sizes and quality. I posted something like this on the Byrne board but nobody caught on. It's just me who finds microscopic people hilarious. I am like that. Nobody will probably catch on here either.

What I want to say and what makes me laugh: When they try to sell a pool by making it look bigger with microscopic people making the tiny wraparound pool look like the size of Lake Michigan.

I don't find any great examples anymore, but before the Internet age there were plenty adverts in mags.

This link looks like something

Please tell me what you think? Is this fun to write about?

Oh, absolutely, Lars! The BS that advertisers use to sell their more dubious products is always fun to write about! When I read the title of this thread, I thought you were talking about Sea Monkeys, though. That's more advertising BS, so I guess I wasn't too far wide of the mark!

You ever see a Big Mac that looks this yummy and delicious?

Wow, David. That Big Mac in the second picture looks like it's having a 'morning after the night before' moment! Yikes!
